CAR Renews Travel Agent Licence for Manasik Tours

The Commission for Aviation Regulation has now issued a travel agent licence to Manasik Tours Ltd, licence number 0688, which will run from 7th November 2013 until 31st October 2014. Manasik Tours was one of two companies (the other a tour operator) whose licences were not renewed by the CAR at the time of the autumn licensing round. Renewals of four other licences were not applied for and six new travel agent licences were issued. CAR Logo

The CAR received 111 valid travel agent applications and 50 valid tour operator applications in the autumn licensing renewals. Overall 110 travel agent and 49 tour operator renewal licences were issued. Six new travel agent licences were also issued making an overall total of 116 travel agents and 49 tour operators licensed in the round.

The tour operator licence that was not renewed from 1st November was that of Boyce Coach Travel Ltd, licence number 222, which is still listed on the CAR website as having expired on 31st October 2013.

The four travel agent licences for which renewals were not applied for were: 0267, Sunway Ltd (but see below); 0583, Blackwater Consulting & Trading Ltd; 0628, Amsalem Business Travel (UK) Ltd; and 0719, Vliegwinkel t/a Budgetair (but see below).

New TA Licences

The six new travel agent licences are:

0727, Jetline Travel Ltd, Barnet, t/a Jetline Travel, Clear Sky Holidays, Hot Deal Holidays, Jetline Cruise, Jetline Holidays, Green Dot Holidays, Deal of the Day Holidays.

0728, Travellink AB, Sweden.

0729, If Only Holidays Ltd, Glasgow.

0730, Lowcostholidays Spain SL, Mallorca.

0731, Sunway Travel Ltd, Dun Laoghaire, t/a Sunway Travel, Sunway Holidays, Omni Tours. (NB: Sunway Ltd’s non-renewed licence 0267 listed Priority Group & Incentive Travel and Holidays Online as trading names, but neither are listed for licence 0731.)

0732, Travix Nederland BV, Amsterdam, t/a Budgetair

 

New Trading Names

The updated CAR website also lists three additional trading names for Acromas Holidays, licence 0598: AA Flight Select, Quest for Adventure, and Saga Flight Select.
