He is a customer services specialist and will be inspiring Travel Counsellors with his advice to help them convey the message to their customers that ‘with us it’s personal’, which is the theme of this year’s conference.

Cathy Burke, General Manager at Travel Counsellors Ireland, said: “I am delighted with the huge level of support from our suppliers. So far more than 30 have confirmed their attendance including 10 airlines, seven hotel companies, four tourism bodies, four cruise products and seven tour operators including two escorted specialists. It’s a great opportunity for them to meet our Travel Counsellors and showcase their products. To find out the full line-up for the conference, Travel Counsellors will need to wait for the conference – we may have a few surprises up our sleeves!”

Sponsors include Dubai Tourism, RCCL, Blue Insurance, Do Something Different, Emirates, South African Tourism, Tourism Thailand, and One & Only.

Cathy added: “In the current challenging economic climate our conference is more important than ever to our agents. Travel Counsellors will get the business support, advice and new skills that will help them to drive their businesses forward and offer their customers superior service.”

The annual conference is a great opportunity for the Travel Counsellors to get together, meet new friends and celebrate their achievements.

Travel Counsellor Ian Walsh said: “Attending our annual conference is a no-brainer for me. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet head office staff, get new ideas for my business and to find about any exciting new developments in the company. This is where I meet my fellow TCs who share the same passion for travel as I do. It is also where I get the chance to talk to suppliers, build on the fantastic relationships we already have with them and stay up to date with the latest travel products and services on offer. This allows me to provide my clients with an up-to-date, unrivalled travel service that is completely focused on them and their needs.”
