Hilton Worldwide has issued new figures showing that one in six of all rooms under construction in Europe carries a Hilton Worldwide brand. Across the hotel industry there are currently 54,587 rooms under construction in Europe, with Hilton Worldwide representing 18.2% of the total room count, according to the latest data from STR Global research.
Today in Europe Hilton Worldwide has 56 hotels, representing more than 10,000 rooms, currently under construction, and a total of 115 hotels that are due to open by the end of 2014.
Key hotels due to open within the next 12 months include: Waldorf Astoria Berlin, Germany; Hilton Garden Inn Krasnodar, Russia; Conrad Algarve, Portugal; DoubleTree by Hilton Lodz, Poland; Hilton Bursa and Hampton by Hilton Bursa, Turkey; and Hilton St George’s Park, Burton on Trent and Hampton by Hilton St George’s Park, Burton on Trent, UK.
