Aer Lingus Posts Record August Statistics

Aer Lingus has announced traffic statistics for the month of August 2015. Total traffic for the month, including Aer Lingus Regional flights, was up 5.3% to 1,269,000 passengers compared to 1,205,000 passengers in August 2014.Aer Lingus

Aer Lingus mainline traffic was up 7.3% to a record 1,138,000 passengers – transatlantic traffic continued to grow strongly with passenger numbers up 16.9% year on year to 173,000 for the month of August 2015.  Short haul passenger numbers increased by 5.7% to 965,000 from 913,000 in August 2014

The overall passenger load factor for August 2015 was up 2.5 percentage points to 90.3%. The short-haul load factor increased by 4.4 percentage points to 87.9%.  The long-haul load factor, while marginally down 0.7 percentage points in August, remained extremely high at 93.4% for the month.
