BA to Commence London Gatwick – Sri Lanka Service

British Airways is to launch a three-times-a-week service from London Gatwick to Sri Lanka’s capital city of Colombo on 31st March 2013, operating a B777 with three cabins including Club World with fully flat beds. The flights will operate via Male in the Maldives and passengers will travel through BA’s dedicated check-in area at Gatwick North Terminal.

Silla Maizey, BA’s Managing Director Gatwick, said: “This is such an exciting new route for us. Sri Lanka has so much to offer visitors from beach, spa or adventure holidays, to cultural, wildlife and nature breaks.”

Until 25th September, return flights start from £595 in World Traveller, £1,316 in World Traveller Plus and £2,244 in Club World.

For travel between 1st May and 30th June 2013, seven nights at the 4-star Eden Resort & Spa costs from £779pps and at the 5-star Saman Villas from £1,179pps, including return flights and accommodation with breakfast.
