Balkan Ski Announces Major Expansion for 2017

Balkan Ski, part of Belfast tour operator Travel Solutions, has launched its winter season for 2017 with a 50% increase in capacity for ski packages from Belfast – and aims to introduce a direct charter from Dublin or Cork.

Prices will be held at 2016 levels and its popular ‘Learn to Ski’ packages will start from £499 fully inclusive.

Balkan Ski, which is Ireland’s only direct ski flight to Bulgaria, offers three resorts at Pamporovo, Bansko and Borovets. Each resort offers a wide choice of runs for all standards of skier, stunning scenery and a range of hotels that offer great facilities as well as an exciting range of extra resort activities.

Peter McMinn, Managing Director of Travel Solutions, told ITTN: “We are determined to bring more affordable skiing holidays to those who want to experience this type of holiday. Our Learn to Ski packages have proven a great hit on our Belfast departures and we are confident that we can introduce similar value from the Republic.

“We are currently engaging with those who have a vested interest in a new direct Bulgarian ski charter programme from Dublin or Cork in 2017 and hope to finalise arrangements very soon.”
