Black-Tie Awards Ceremony Recognises Top-Performing Travel Counsellors

Travel Counsellors recognised its top-performing agents in Ireland at a glittering awards ceremony during the company’s annual conference. Seven awards were given to agents in recognition of their performance and achievements and one special award to a commercial partner.

The Travel Counsellor awards included Best Newcomer, Blaithin Watson; Best Business Increase, Lynne Keane; and Best Margin and Best Corporate Sales, both won by Jennifer O’Brien.

Awards were also presented to agents who utilise the company’s in-house dynamic packaging system, Phenix, to build their business, tailor-make packages for their customers and control the margin they make. Mary Foyle was awarded Best Phenix for achieving the most sales through the system, significantly contributing to her growing her business over the years, while Rosemary Chawke was recognised for Best TC Package Sales using the company’s Quote and Book system within Phenix.

Travel Counsellor Sarah McCarthy was delighted to be honoured with the Best Travel Counsellor award for the fifth year in succession, having made amazing sales of over €1.5 million in the past 12 months.

Sarah said: “I was absolutely thrilled to receive ‘Best Travel Counsellor’ for the fifth consecutive year. It was a very proud moment for me and for my family and this certainly makes all the hard work worthwhile. I became a Travel Counsellor in 2006 and I must say I have never looked back. I have a wonderful relationship with my clients and I feel privileged to be part of this truly remarkable travel company.”

Travel Counsellors also presented a special Business Partner of the Year award to recognise the commercial partner who received the highest score from the company’s agents in a supplier survey conducted by Travel Counsellors. The clear winner was destination management company EASIA, who have consistently delivered a fantastic level of customer service to the company’s agents, reflecting Travel Counsellors’ own focus on highly personal and first-class service.
