The Commission for Aviation Regulation has updated its list of travel agencies, having issued a new licence to a major UK-based group. 
Licence number 0744 has been granted to the Gold Medal Travel Group plc, The Trident Centre, Port Way, Ribble Docklands, Preston PR2 2QG, England, from 4th October 2014 to 31st October 2015.
Trading names are listed as Gold Medal Travel, Netflights.com, Netflights Retail, Pure Luxury, and netflights.ie – although currently the Irish website address only links to NetNames Ltd.
The Gold Medal Travel Group was established in 1970, took travel online in 1995, and was acquired by dnata from Thomas Cook Group plc in November 2014. The group handles more than 275,000 travel bookings a year and Steve Barrass is Managing Director.
