Cassidy Travel Opens Ninth TravelShop in Dublin

Cassidy Travel has opened its ninth TravelShop in one of the busiest shopping centres in Dublin city centre, the ILAC Shopping Centre, Henry Street, Dublin 1, where the design is based on the successful TravelShops concept in the Pavilions Swords and Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in the Dublin suburbs.

The new TravelShop team will be managed by Janis Coulter who has many years of experience in the travel industry and has joined Cassidy Travel from Falcon Holidays. Janis and her team will offer the personal service that customers are looking for from businesses and consumers in the area.

John Spollen, Director, Cassidy Travel, said: “We are in a very exciting growth phase in the company.  Coming from 2015 when we celebrated 30 years in business, winning Travel Agency of the Year at the ITAA Awards this January, and with bookings over 12% ahead of last year already, we are poised for further growth this year.

“We believe that Cassidy Travel, with our investment in staff, training and technology, will continue to grow. Why? Because people want knowledge, security and service when booking their holiday and we are seeing this growth trend in all of our TravelShops, with Cassidy Golf and also through Classic Resorts (our long-haul division), as well as online.”

Cassidy Travel reports brisk bookings for Q1 of 2016 with family holidays, cruise holidays – including river cruises, shopping and sporting breaks – including a return to golf society outings, as well as long-haul destinations such as Thailand, the Caribbean, Maldives, Seychelles, and South Africa.   Wedding/honeymoon bookings are also over 25% up on last year.
