Claire Somers Wins Again!

Claire Somers Wins Again!

Last week, Claire Somers of American Holidays won the trip to Washington DC with United. Last night, she did it again – she won the top prize of a trip to Australia at the Australia on Tour workshop in Dublin!

Prize winner Claire Somers of American Holidays (second left) with Lucy Havercroft, Tourism Australia; Hazel Young, Qantas; and Glen Davis, Tourism Australia.

The prize? A return Economy Class ticket to Australia with Qantas, two nights accommodation in Adelaide and a three-day/two-night Kangaroo Island Tour with South Australia, and two nights in Darwin and a three-day/two-night Kakadu National Park Tour with Northern Territory!

The five finalists included both Tommy and Susan Kiernan and so expectations were raised that the coveted prize would be going to Ask Susan – and were raised further when Susan made it through to the semi-finals. However, Claire was (just) closer to guessing the height of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and swept away with the prize.

Finally, a tip for those attending tonight’s Australia on Tour workshop in Cork: Know Your Wombats!
