A lucky travel agent got more than she bargained for recently at the Wings Abroad roadshow in Galway – when she received a holiday voucher and a baby in one night!
Avril McGrath of Corrib Travel, who was eight months pregnant at the time, put her dart playing skills to good use in the ‘Killer Darts Competition’ and won herself a Wings Abroad holiday voucher.
The excitement of the night was so great that even her unborn baby wanted to join in: Avril went into labour an hour after winning, and her new baby came along only hours after her victory. Little Jessica was the icing on the cake for Avril after her great win.
Tayfun Gokpinar, Managing Director of Wings Abroad said: “We were delighted to hear of Avril’s new arrival. She was a great sport at the event and clearly little Jessica wanted to join in on the celebration! We hope she and her new arrival have a fantastic holiday.”
Both Avril and her new bundle of joy are healthy and very, very happy, looking forward to their first holiday as a family.
