Contiki Launches New Latin America Programme

Contiki Holidays has introduced two new itineraries to its Latin America programme, one to The Galapagos & Andes, taking young travellers to the world’s most bio diverse regions on Earth, and another, the epic Latin Quest, combining the ancient Inca cultures of Peru, Ecuador, Argentina and Brazil. There’s a 10% discount for bookings by 27th June 2013.

The 26-day Galapagos & Andes itinerary offers culture, heritage, water and wildlife and combines three of the most beautiful spots on earth, Ecuador, the Galapagos and Peru, in one trip. Highlights include a locally guided tour of Quito, thermal springs swim, a visit to a hummingbird sanctuary, and a sunset river cruise, a trip to see the famous Galapagos giant tortoises, the lava tunnels on Santa Cruz island, and much more. In Peru there‘s an island boat trip on Lake Titicaca and a visit to the Taquile & Uros island communities, the famous Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu, and more.

Latin Quest offers 37 days across four countries: Ecuador, Peru, Argentina and Brazil. Highlights include a local tango lesson in Buenos Aires, a boat cruise on San Cristobal, snorkelling in the Galapagos, city tour of Arequipa, hot spring swim in Chivay, entry to the Temple of Wiracocha, island boat trip on Lake Titicaca, walking tour of Cusco, Inca trail trek to Machu Picchu, guided Favela tour, boat cruise and city tour in Rio, a visit to Christ the Redeemer statue, a visit to the majestic Iguassu Falls, and more.

Local guides ensure that clients get to see the destination in depth. Smaller groups ensure it’s easy to get around yet still big enough for that great group dynamic. Flights between destinations are included and private transport makes it easy and efficient for travellers to get around, with transport by triciclos, trains and boats adding local flavour and fun. Travellers will also enjoy great local food, such as fresh fish ceviche or, for those that are game, crispy fried guinea pig.

Clients will stay in special accommodations along the way including jungle and beachside lodges and rainforest and eco-lodges. With colourful locals, ancient sights and traditions, massive mountains and quaint beaches, travellers won’t miss a thing ensuring they travel with no regrets.

Sharon Jordan, Contiki Manager, said: “Contiki has experienced overwhelming demand for its Latin America tours and we are excited to offer adventurous young travellers two new tours.”

Travellers can avail of 10% off all Contiki Latin America tours if booked before 27th June 2013.
