Cork Airport Goes ‘Green’ for St Patrick’s Day

Cork Airport, one of the leading supporters of The Gathering 2013, has announced it will get fully behind this year’s St Patrick’s Day Festivities by bathing the Terminal in green light for this week’s celebrations.

Cork Airport 2As well as raising awareness for The Gathering celebrations, the ‘greening’ of Cork Airport this year marks the seventh successive year that the airport has sponsored the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Cork City.

As part of this year’s celebrations, Cork Airport will join a long list of famous buildings and sites around the world that will undertake a green transformation as part of Tourism Ireland’s ‘Greening Season’. Earlier this month, Tourism Ireland announced details of some of the famous attractions and sites around the world that will go green this year to mark St Patrick’s Day, kicking off the organisation’s major first half promotional drive to grow overseas tourism in 2013.
