Crystal Management Changes: Ray Moves to Travelopia

Chris Logan, Head of Ireland for TUI, will assume responsibility for the Crystal Ski and Summer brands from 1st August following a period of transition and handover. The brand will join the TUI Ireland portfolio and will benefit from investment to accelerate growth and develop new and unique products.

Chris said: “I would like acknowledge the contribution Ray Scully has made to the Crystal business in Ireland over the last 16 years and wish him every success in his new role. I look forward to working with Orla Markey and her vastly experienced Crystal team to take the business from strength to strength.”

Ray Scully, Commercial Director, Tavelopia

Ray Scully will join Travelopia as Commercial Director. Travelopia is the new name for SHGI (Specialist Holidays Group Ireland), which comprises the brands American Holidays, Travelmood and Al Fresco.

After 16 years as Managing Director of Crystal Holidays (Ireland), Ray will join John Devereux
(Managing Director, Travelopia) and his management team in developing the American Holidays,
Travelmood and Al Fresco brands.

John Devereux said: “I have worked with Ray for many years and his expertise and passion for the travel
business is legendary. Ray is highly respected by all in the travel industry and having his focus on the
commercial development of the brands will be crucial for our ambitious growth plans.”

Ray will be assuming his new role as of 1st August after a transition period and handover of the
Crystal Ski and Crystal Summer brands.

The event was an opportunity for travel professionals to meet and discuss the growing challenges facing the industry.
