Diane Bowman, from Inistioge, Co Kilkenny, has recently left her job working in a travel agency in Co Wexford to join Travel Counsellors. Diane has been in travel for many years and is well known in the industry.

Cathy Burke, General Manager, said: “I am delighted to welcome Diane to the Travel Counsellors family. She is so enthusiastic and excited about launching her own business and meeting the rest of our TCs and it was lovely getting to know her over the few days during her recent induction training. We have seen a surge of interest from travel professionals over the past year as we offer a secure future for travel professionals, including agency owners.”

Diane said: “From the initial contact with head office I was completely blown away by the level of genuine support given to us new starters. The company truly wants us to be successful with our businesses. I have learned so much from Travel Counsellors and am very excited about growing a successful business and continuing to offer exceptional service to my clients.”

Repro Free: Thursday 21st July, Dublin Airport:
Aer Lingus welcomed a piece of Irish aviation history into its hangar at Dublin airport today as it received a Douglas DC-3 aircraft hailing from the 1940s and 50s and freshly painted in the Aer Lingus livery of that era. The DC-3 was the fifth aircraft type to be operated by Aer Lingus in 1940 and at that time was part of a fleet of just 5, while today’s fleet now stands at 63 aircraft operating more than 100 routes to UK, Europe and North America. The DC-3 aircraft will feature in Bray Air Display and Foynes Air Show this weekend.
