Emirates Enters Third Year of Irish Open Sponsorship

Emirates has reinforced its commitment to sport as the airline announced its third year of sponsorship of the Irish Open. Emirates is gearing up to welcome tens of thousands of golfing fans over four exciting days to Fota Island Resort from 19th – 22nd June.

Ireland’s Major winners Rory McIlroy, Padraig Harrington, Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke, along with European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley, will be joined by one of golf’s most colourful characters, the USA’s John Daly, for an elite home challenge not to be missed.

Following the sell-out tournament at Carton House last year, Emirates will again welcome visitors to the Emirates Booth, where they will have an opportunity to play the interactive ‘Race to Dubai with Emirates’ game and be in with a chance of winning tickets to the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

The three-year agreement with the Irish Open includes course branding, tournament hospitality, advertising and onsite activity, including a corporate marquee and team participation in the Tournament Pro-Am.

“Emirates’ official airline partnership with the Irish Open is an integral part of our commitment to the Irish market, as well as being hugely important for us in growing and cementing our brand presence,” said Margaret Shannon, Country Manager for Emirates in Ireland. “The Irish Open is one of the best attended sporting tournaments in Ireland and this year will not disappoint with an incredible calibre of participants. We are very much looking forward to meeting and welcoming thousands of golf fans to the Emirates public tent over the weekend.”

The 2014 Irish Open takes place on the Jeff Howes-designed course at Fota Island Resort, offering great value for a full day’s entertainment. For tickets, prizes and more info, visit www.irishopen.ie
