Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating maximum profitable revenues and passenger volumes for Etihad Airways through directing and focusing the sales team to an agreed plan of activity.

*  Establish presence of the airline as a major quality brand in the market.

*  Quickly build and maintain profitable sales and market share for Etihad Airways.

*  Ensure business from key segments, including the corporate, leisure, wholesale, online and ethnic (or target market) sectors.

*  Recruit, lead and develop a professional, highly effective and motivated sales team.

*  Drive the successful implementation of corporate initiatives, including GRP.

*  Develop and implement systems to make the sales force effective.

*  Ensure Etihad Airways anticipates and/or responds to market and competitor trends, issues, and threats so as to win more sales or to avoid or minimise any adverse impact on sales.

Educated to degree level or equivalent. Business qualifications would be an advantage. Experience should be eight years sales within airline or multinational travel company with minimum of four years at senior level.

Applicants are required to have the following:

  • Training in account management, sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to coach, train and guide sales executives on best method.
  • Team leadership skills, positive, energetic, dynamic, and creative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to short lead times.
  • Self-starter with strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical skills to make positive use of broad range of data and information.
  • Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Reservation and Ticketing (preferably Sabre). Training in MIDT and Sales Force Automation systems.

Sales Representative – Dublin

Job Description

*  Responsible to achieve profitable sales revenue to an agreed target for a sales territory and/or corporate portfolio of clients.

*  Maintain current business and promote the Etihad brand, products and services through the primary distribution channels available.

*  Negotiate and account manage commercial agreements with top national accounts.

*  Negotiation of new business acquisitions around contractual agreement within the defined portfolio.

*  Develop individual account management plans to ensure revenue growth and market share growth.

*  Develop a strategy to increase penetration to the top account by direct and indirect channels in conjunction with the sales manager.

Must have a minimum experience of five years in a sales role of which at least two years in sales/business development role and at least two years airline, travel management company, travel agency or tour operator.

Applicants are required to have the following:

  • Training on negotiation and sales techniques.
  • Training on account development planning.
  • Computer skills should be strong, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Reservation and Ticketing (preferably Sabre).
  • Fluent in both oral and written English, with strong presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong planning and excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Training in MIDT and Sales Force Automation systems.
  • Good analytical skills to make positive use of broad range of data information and able to work under pressure and to short lead times.
