Fanfan Wins Hertz Week for Two in Croatia

The Ambassador of Croatia recently visited the Hertz European Centre in Swords, Co Dublin, to mark the company’s ‘Focus on Franchise Campaign’ that featured Croatia in May and to present a prize of a week for two in Croatia to one employee. The incentive proved very successful with sales up 48% from the same month in 2012.

The ‘Focus on Franchise Campaign’ is a programme to encourage Hertz service agents to promote sales to the countries of Hertz licensee partners. Franchise is a key operating model for Hertz, with 92 franchise countries across the international division – all of which contribute to the overall success of the Hertz Corporation.

Ambassador Jasna Ognjanovac met the European sales staff and presented the winning employee, Fanfan Mafumba from Santry, with a prize of a week for two in Croatia, including flights with Ryanair, seven nights accommodation in the 4-star Valamar Bellevue Hotel and Residence and a week’s car hire with Hertz Rent a Car.

Croatia’s ascension into the European Union comes into place on 1st July 2013. Ambassador Jasna Ognjanovac said: “When I hear about the great success of businesses in Ireland working with Croatia, it seems as if we are already a part of the EU. Thank you very much to Hertz in both Ireland and at home for working so hard to support travel to Croatia.”

Tara Martin, Franchise Services Director, Hertz International, said: “The ‘Focus on Franchise’ sales campaign creates visibility for Croatia and promotes growth and tourism for the country. At the same time it is engaging and fun for our service agents. Through education of the geography, promotion of the culture of the country, the agents are armed with the tool-kit for maximising the conversion of calls into sales. In May we had fantastic results for Croatia and exceeded sales year over year by 48%. We are very proud and delighted to have the Ambassador visit our European Service Centre and to celebrate the success of the campaign for Croatia with her.”
