Finnair Signs Global Full Content Agreement with Travelport

Travelport and Finnair have announced a new, multi-year global distribution agreement, and Travelport has opened a new office in Iraq. Travelport Logo 2

Jani Peuhkurinen, Head of Global Corporate Sales and GDS Sales Distribution, Finnair, said: “Finnair has, in the last few years, been actively growing its network value towards strategically important premium traffic between Asia and Europe. This commercial relationship with Travelport supports Finnair’s strategy.”

Mathias Andersson, Head of Travelport’s Nordic Region, said: “Travelport sees Finnair as an important, high quality airline partner and we look forward to working closely with them over the coming years.”

Iraq Office

Meanwhile, Travelport has continued its Middle East expansion with the opening of a new office in Erbil, Iraq. The new commercial hub underlines the importance of Iraq as an important investment region for Travelport and now serves the travel agent community in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah and Dohuk regions.

“The opening of the new office in Erbil reinforces Travelport’s commitment to Iraq and our passion for supporting travel agents in this important region and throughout the Middle East network,” said Rabih Saab, President and Mamaging Director, Middle East and Africa, Travelport. “This new commercial operation further solidifies our presence in the region and brings a superior level of support to our travel agents in Erbil and in the neighbouring regions.”
