There are plenty of affordable ways for holidaymakers on a budget to enjoy Dubai. Here are five of the best activities to do for under €1!

The fascinating Dubai Museum, housed in Al Fahidi Fort in the historic Bastakiya district, explains how Dubai developed from a pearl fishing town into the bustling cosmopolitan world city of today. Entry is 3 dirhams (€0.60c).

Take a charming Abra, a traditional wooden water taxi, across the bustling Dubai Creek for 1 dirham (€0.20c) and mingle with the locals on their daily commute.

The impressive Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum’s house, which was built in 1896 as home to the former ruler of Dubai, is now a museum. Entry is 2 dirhams (€0.40c).

Camels have a unique place in Dubai history and culture and are showcased in the Dubai Camel Museum, which has free entry.

Dubai has long stretches of public beaches. They are immaculate and usually quiet, especially on weekdays. Entry is free!
