The German National Tourist Office has just launched a new student campaign on Facebook to find the perfect ‘TravelMeister’ – the perfect youth ambassador for Germany. Until 12th December, university students are called upon to submit a 50-word application plus photo on www.germany.travel/facebookcompetition, explaining why they are the ideal TravelMeister.
Targeting all students in the UK and Ireland, the campaign aims to stimulate young people’s interest in Germany as a fun and exciting travel destination. “Students are an important target group for us,” said Klaus Lohmann, Director UK & Ireland, GNTO. “Germany’s diversity has great appeal to young people. It offers a host of cool cities and captivating landscapes, great shopping, the arts and a vibrant nightlife.
“The TravelMeister campaign allows us to further leverage this appeal, and we are hoping to increase the awareness among students here in the local market.”
