God’s Own Country – Kerala Promotes to the Trade

Known as God’s own country, Kerala in India had a well attended trade workshop and presentation in Dublin last night (Wednesday). This is a destination that exudes peace and contentment for the visitor, so it is not surprising that the international visitor numbers have increased by 24% over the past decade.

Irish visitor numbers have also shot from 2,920 in 2009 to 4,445 in 2012.The trade viewed the latest promotional video for Kerala, ‘Your Moment is Waiting’, which has been the winner of many awards.

Kerala has 580km of coastline with many beautiful beaches, there are are also hill stations, and homestay accommodations where visitors stay with a local family. Stunning scenery coupled with an amazing heritage and local culture make Kerala a great destination.

No itinerary to India is complete without including Kerala, as the delegation of 10 hotels, three incoming tour operators and one homestay property were keen to impress on the trade at the workshop.
