Members of the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards scheme can now upgrade their rental vehicles in the USA via a smartphone. Hertz piloted the service in Los Angeles and Washington DC throughout December.
Prior to customers’ arrival at the airport, Hertz will send a text notifying them about a reservation. Clicking a link in the message produces three options: switching to a different car at no additional cost, the deal of the day, or a selection of upgrades.
