Hertz Partners with Airberlin, Offers Discounts

The Hertz Corporation has entered into a two-year partnership with airberlin to offer travellers exclusive offers and special car rental rates at all of the airline’s 171 destinations worldwide. The move follows Hertz’s successful and ongoing affiliation with airberlin’s frequent flier program topbonus. As a result of the new agreement, the airline’s customers will have seamless access to Hertz’s products and services during the online flight booking process as well as from multiple touch points on the airberlin website. To celebrate Hertz becoming a Premier Partner, airberlin will provide customers who book a car with Hertz with two €10 flight vouchers available from www.hertz.de/airberlin and on the vehicles’ mirror hangers in Germany. In addition, Hertz will offer airberlin’s customers discounts between 5% and 20% in rentals made before 30th July for pick ups until 31st December 2014 in selected European countries. Terms and conditions apply for both promotions.

Michel Taride, Group President, Hertz International, said: “We have been a partner of airberlin’s successful frequent flier programme for 10 years and this agreement is the natural step that cements our relationship. We are proud to partner with one of Europe’s leading airlines and to offer its customers our distinctive products, including Hertz’s unique Collections and, at selected locations, our gold service for Gold Plus Rewards members.”

Andre Rahn, Senior Vice President Marketing, airberlin, said: “We are excited to have been able to bring Hertz, the world’s leading car rental business, on board as a Premium Partner. Flight passengers flying on airberlin’s international route network will benefit from the new partnership, as they can now take advantage of Hertz’s offers at practically every one of our airports.”
