IATA Issues Gloomy Forecast for Global Aviation

IATA issued a gloomy forecast for global aviation saying total airline profits would be significantly less than originally forecast. As late as December IATA – representing some 230 airlines – was arguing carriers around the world would make $9.1 billion in profits but have scaled this back to $8.6.
