IAG, the parent company of British Airways and Iberia, will launch a new low-cost carrier, Iberia Express, in summer 2012. Based at Barajas Airport in Madrid, the airline will commence with four aircraft and may have 13 by the year-end. These will be existing Iberia aircraft, but new pilots and cabin crew will be employed.
