InterContinental Madrid Popular with Irish Visitors

The InterContinental Madrid receives 3% of its business from Ireland, ITTN was told by Oliver Benalal, the hotel’s Director of International Sales, on a recent visit to the InterContinental Dublin in Ballsbridge (previously the Four Seasons until the New Year), where he co-hosted a reception for travel agents and media with Destination Madrid and the Spanish Tourism Office.

Oliver also brought a team of chefs with him from Madrid, headed by Miguel de la Fuente, to prepare a delicious tapas lunch, including paella.

The 5-star InterContinental Madrid, a landmark hotel on Paseo de la Castellana, was inspired by an 18th-century palace and is ideally located in the cultural and business district. The hotel is minutes from the Prado Museum, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Real Madrid Museum and the elegant Serrano shopping district.
