To celebrate the launch of United’s new Shannon – Chicago route, Choose Chicago, the city’s tourist board, in conjunction with United, recently took a group of agents on a trip to Chicago.
Joining the group of invited guests and dignitaries at the flight gate on 7th June, the group of nine enjoyed a gate-side glass of bubbly and some expertly crafted cake resembling the iconic Willis Tower, before boarding the B757 to Chicago.
Over a sunny and warm weekend, the group explored the (not so) Windy City on foot, by Segway and boat – taking in all the sights of this famous city, its eclectic architecture, scenic lakefront and delicious food. Fittingly for an all-girls group, there was ample time to go shopping and discover why Chicago is one of the top shopping destinations in the USA.
To top off this exciting weekend, the group was treated to a unique Gospel Brunch on Sunday, an all-you-can-eat buffet of truly stunning proportions and handclapping, ‘hallelujah-shouting’ live entertainment.
Chicago, you may be called the Second City, but there certainly is nothing second-place about you!
