Jet2.com Launches Belfast – Salzburg Service

Salzburg in Austria is Jet2.com’s 16th destination from Belfast International Airport and is particularly popular with skiers and snowboarders. Flights are now on sale for the winter 2013/14 ski season from £49 one way including taxes.

Steve Heapy, Chief Executive, said: “Last year we launched Geneva and it was a roaring success with all flights fully booked. This year is looking extremely good too, with record passengers. We wanted to build on this demand with the launch of Salzburg, giving ski and board enthusiasts an even greater range of fantastic ski destinations. I am confident that it will be extremely popular, especially with our friendly low fares and generous 22kg baggage allowance. Salzburg is the gateway to the Austrian Alps and offers our customers great value, choice and flexibility from Belfast.”

Jet2.com has put the route on sale earlier than previous years to ensure that customers can plan ahead and budget effectively. With one flight per week to Salzburg taking off from Saturday 21st December until Saturday 5th April, there’s plenty of opportunity to get on the piste next season.

Steve added: “The feedback from our ski and board customers is that they want to be able to book now for next season so they can budget and look forward to being back on the snow. For those who simply can’t wait for their snow fix, flights to Geneva will run until 6th April 2013 and start from just £34 one way including taxes.”
