Laudamotion Commences Daily Dublin-Vienna Service

Austrian low-cost carrier Laudamotion has commenced its year-round, daily service between Dublin and Vienna with an A320 aircraft. Since August 2018 the airline, which focusses on European city shuttle routes from Vienna, ha been 75%-owned by Ryanair, with former Formula 1 racing driver Niki Lauda still having a minority shareholding.

Above, Andreas Gruber, Managing Director, Laudamotion, joins Louise Bannon, Head of Marketing, Dublin Airport, to celebrate the airline’s inaugural flight from Dublin to Vienna.

Andreas said: “Laudamotion’s new route between Dublin and Vienna will increase the connectivity between Ireland and the Austrian capital significantly. The new connection supports the economy as well as offers the opportunity to visit Vienna for reasonable prices. We offer our passengers a customer-orientated tariff concept with an unbeatable price-performance ratio and we are very happy to offer our flights from now on also from Dublin.”

“Laudamotion is Dublin Airport’s fifth new airline customer this year and we are delighted to welcome it to Dublin and Ireland,” said Vincent Harrison, Managing Director, Dublin Airport. “Vienna is a beautiful city that is rich in culture and history and I have no doubt it will be a very popular destination. We wish Laudamotion every success with its new route and we will work closely with its management team to promote this new service.”
