Looking to Return to a Career in the Travel Industry?

As more and more people want to return to the travel industry in Ireland, many are turning to Travel Counsellors’ ‘Return To Travel’ programme, designed to help people overcome the hurdles of catching up with an industry that has rapidly moved on in their absence.

The initiative includes days spent at Travel Counsellors’ Cork office covering industry update training, product, systems and GDS refresher courses, along with some further home modules. Lisa Nahedh (above), for example, completed her Return To Travel programme in 2013.

It doesn’t matter about your career background, or how long it is since you last worked in travel, if you have a passion for the industry and delight in making your customers happy, Travel Counsellors would love to meet you.

Successful candidates enjoy one-to-one sales advice and hands-on training on the company’s leading edge booking system, Phenix. Participants are also shown how to harness the creative marketing materials and activities on offer, as well as using social media to help build their customer database. The comprehensive retraining programme also provides advice and guidance on how to launch and build a successful business.

Ciara MacConnell, Operations Executive at the Cork office, said: “From administration to finance to marketing and PR, we have got it covered. We also have a business coaching team who are experts at helping our Travel Counsellors create a flourishing and profitable business.

“We will be by your side from the very early days and always just a phone call away. If you need it, it is good to know that there is 24-hour support from the global help desk team. It doesn’t matter if it’s a really tricky booking or airfare, or help with IT, Travel Counsellors is here for you.

This includes materials such as a high-end laptop and printer, personalised stationery and business cards, marketing starter pack, sales and marketing plan, personalised exhibition stand, and much more.

“Return To Travel is an opportunity that unlocks a future of unlimited earnings, a better work life balance and a career that you will fall in love with the second time around!”
