Marie Astrid Baillet, Luxair, and Paul Weir, APG Ireland, have announced in Dublin that Luxair, flag carrier of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, has decided to continue its flights to Luxembourg, direct from Dublin, for the 2015/16 winter season with prices from €149 return.
This commitment by Luxair to the Irish market has been the result of continued growth from both the business and leisure markets in 2014 and 2015 and a strong load factor all summer. Luxembourg’s current hosting of the European Presidency has, of course, also increased this business traffic. Statistically over 46% of the population are foreign nationals because of Luxembourg’s unique position at the heart of the EU administrative zone, so business traffic is a key factor on the service.
Paul Weir, Luxair’s Sales Manager in Ireland, said: “From a leisure perspective, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is still a secret waiting to be discovered in the Irish market – shopping, festivals, culture, and gastronomy await! From Luxembourg City’s architecture, Old Town and Fortress to the many treasures of the country’s borders, such as the Moselle wine region, the hills of the Ardennes, and the Mullerthal region – known as Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland, characterised by its beautiful forests, rock formations and brooks, Luxembourg is definitely one to visit this winter and tick off your wish list!”
There will be a daily flight Monday to Friday, as well as a Sunday evening service, with excellent flight timings.
Fares are from €149 return, including 20kg checked luggage allowance, complimentary food, drinks and newspapers onboard. Luxair Business Class passengers will also enjoy Fast Lane Service through Dublin Airport and executive lounges at both ends of the route.
