Luxair, the national carrier of the Duchy of Luxembourg, is represented by APG as its GSA for Ireland. Eileen Penrose from APG and Marie-Astrid Baillet, Sales Manager for Luxair, hosted their top agents to a luncheon presentation in Dublin.
Luxair, founded in 1948, flies to 21 destinations in Europe, had a turnover of €490 million and carried 2.5 million passengers in 2013.
The summer schedule from Dublin direct to Luxembourg for 2017 will be six flights per week, operated by a Bombardier Q400 with a passenger capacity of 76 seats. There are no flights on Saturday. The Monday to Friday flight departs Dublin at 13.50 and arrives in Luxembourg at 16.55.
There is a promotional fare of €149 return.
The Bombardier Q400 is a medium-haul twin-turboprop aircraft characterised by significantly lower CO2 emissions than other equivalents jets. It has the same efficiency, absence of vibration and low sound disturbance as a jet engine.
