Marketing Greece has launched www.discovergreece.com, a website created to showcase the complete portfolio of Greek tourism destinations and experiences – and which includes a booking engine.
Visitors can view the unique experiences offered by over 120 destinations within Greece, and enjoy more than 3,000 photographs and 60 specially made videos. The site contains over 130,000 words of content, across Hidden Gems, Highlights and Must See suggestions in English and Greek, inviting them to plan their trip easily and quickly. German, Russian and French versions will follow soon.
It also features an integrated booking engine allowing users to book accommodation and air travel and the functionality of tailoring holidays around individual user specifications and preferences. One of its principal aims is to lengthen the tourist season in Greece and propose combinations of experiences that are new to Greek tourism.
Andreas Andreadis, President of Marketing Greece, said: “Marketing Greece was established to serve an idea, a vision for the new era of development of Greek tourism. This vision translates into reality today with the global launch of discovergreece.com. We promised to give a new dimension to the promotion of Greece as a tourist destination. A dimension that meets modern needs in a highly competitive international market environment, and the high demands of potential visitors thirsty for new experiences and fresh images.”
Iossif Parsalis, General Manager of Marketing Greece, added: “What differentiates discovergreece.com is the fact that it focuses on the product dimension of Greek tourism. Utilising the experience of the tourism industry, Mckinsey’s report on the development of Greek tourism policy for 2021, the Marketing Greece team has delivered a website that incorporates the latest technology and most up-to-date practices of electronic and digital communication to a global audience. Discovergreece.com will create a global community of supporters of Greek tourism. A community that will grow and contribute to new record results for tourism.”
