New Emirates Mobile Boarding Pass Available on Dublin Route

Emirates now offers customers the option of receiving a mobile boarding pass on their Internet-enabled mobile device – providing stress-free, paperless travel. The service is available to passengers who utilise Emirates’ Online Check-in facility – they can check-in online up to 24 hours in advance and can choose to receive a link to their mobile boarding pass by email or SMS.

The mobile boarding pass can be scanned and read directly at all check-in counters, airport security check points, Dubai Immigration, Emirates lounges and boarding gates. It allows customers to keep all their travel information in one place. Following the launch in Dubai, a number of other stations that are mobile boarding pass compliant have been identified for rollout across the Emirates network – including Dublin, which is now using the service.

“The launch of Emirates’ mobile boarding pass not only supports paperless travel in favour of the more environmentally friendly electronic boarding pass, but it also meets the demands of a new era of travellers who rightly demand a more sophisticated and efficient means of managing their business and leisure travel,” said Mohammed Mattar, Divisional Senior Vice President Airport Services. “The mobile boarding pass puts flexibility and control completely in the hands of our customers.”

Customers may also use their Internet-enabled mobile devices to perform a multitude of tasks, including booking and managing a flight, mobile check-in, searching flight schedules and status, and even checking the inflight amenities available on a specific flight. Customers must have an Internet-enabled device to access Emirates’ mobile optimised site.

Once they log on to emirates.com they will be automatically redirected to the mobile optimised version of the website.
