New Travel Insurance Product from Allianz

Irish holidaymakers will have a greater choice of travel insurance products from today, Allianz Global Assistance Ireland has announced.

In time for the winter ski season, the travel insurance service provider will underwrite, sell and administer ‘Allianz Travel Insurance’ in Ireland, offering competitively priced, multiple travel insurance options to customers across the island of Ireland.

The domestic market is set to grow for stand-alone travel insurance and assistance, with 6.8 million trips and over €77 million in gross written premiums being forecast by 2016 (Source: Finaccord).Logo AGA 4c

Giving customers the added options of Single Trip and Backpacker as well as Annual Multi-trip travel insurance for the UK/Ireland, Europe, USA and Worldwide, travellers can also determine the travel cover they require online, choosing from Bronze, Silver or Gold, which vary in terms of excess and level of cover. Additional cover, such as Winter Sports cover for items like damaged ski equipment, is also available.

Single Trip cover from Allianz Travel Insurance starts from €5.08, Annual Multi-trip covers starts from €40.91, with Winter Sports cover starting from €19.02.
