A new Travelocity App for iPad is now available on the App Store, giving travellers the ability to book flights, hotels and car rentals all in one app. It joins the company’s existing app for iPhone and iPod touch, as well as devices on Android and Windows Phone 7. To celebrate the launch, Travelocity is holding a Twitter sweepstakes until Friday 2nd March, with winners receiving a $500 Apple gift card.
The app features hotel deals especially for mobile users in top US destinations such as Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando and San Francisco. These deals, labeled ‘Mobile Exclusive Deals’, are rates that are even lower than what is available on the desktop version of Travelocity. They are geared toward the on-the-go traveller and are generally available two days prior to check-in. The Travelocity App automatically identifies the top three deals in the search results with a special ‘Mobile Exclusive Deal’ banner.

Additional features of the Travelocity App for iPad include:

• Access to Top Secret Hotels – unpublished rates that are up to 55% off Travelocity’s regular rates for the same top hotels on the same day
• Hi-res colour photos of hotels; maps, customer reviews and detailed descriptions of properties
• The ability to view past and future trip itineraries within MyTrips, including details such as flight numbers, departure times, and hotel addresses.
