New Virgin Upper Class Suite

New Virgin Upper Class Suite

Virgin Atlantic has introduced its new Upper Class Suite with the longest full flat bed in business class at 220cm (87”). The new espresso coloured leather seat also has an extra 4cm (1.5”) seat width and reclines up to 50% more.

The new Upper Class Suite is now flying the VS003 six days a week from London Heathrow to New York JFK and the VS004 back to London. More destinations will be added as the rest of the A330 aircraft join the fleet throughout 2012, and the new B787 aircraft from 2014.

The futuristic new onboard bar has a changed orientation – it is separate from the cabin and has new spaces to sit and socialise with other passengers.

Each suite has a 12.1” touchscreen monitor with a touchscreen handset, loaded with Atlantic’s new entertainment system called JAM. You can connect your phone, USB stick or tablet to watch, read or listen to your own content, plus charge your device.

Each suite also has a new flip-down cocktail table and push panel armrest, plus a new fully adjustable reading light and a more conveniently located headphone jack.

The new passenger control unit still has lumbar support, plus firm touch buttons to prevent accidental activation.

Each seat has its own aisle access, so you can get in, out, and back in again without treading on anyone’s toes.

There is more handy storage than before, with a new literature pocket and two ottoman storage solutions.

Laptops can be powered throughout the flight with an in-seat power supply compatible with most international plug types. All of Atlantic’s A330s have the AeroMobile system installed so you can make and receive phone calls and send texts from your own mobile phone.
