New Visitor Attraction and Conference Centre at Crumlin Road Gaol

Belfast Tours has been appointed as the new operator for the ‘Visitor attraction and conference centre’ at Crumlin Road Gaol.

Belfast Tours Ltd, which operates City Sightseeing Tours  and Belfast City Tours, already has a major part of the tourist infrastructure in place and will now be developing a visitor attraction programme, including a range of social engagement activities, sponsorship and corporate partnerships. The company will also be developing and managing the conference facilities along with the associated catering and retail opportunities.

George Grimley, Director of Belfast Tours, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed as operators of the historic Crumlin Road Gaol and look forward to developing the Gaol as a major visitor attraction, conference and events facility in Belfast. We are confident that this will not only provide another valuable part of the overall tourist experience in Northern Ireland, but will also have very positive economic benefits for North Belfast.

“The Crumlin Road Gaol has an important historical and cultural significance and it is important that we fully recognise this as we open the doors of the Gaol to the public. We have ambitious plans to develop the onsite facilities, as well as developing strong linkages between the Gaol and other cultural sites within the city of Belfast.”
