The PATA UK Chapter has won the 2012 ‘Spirit of PATA’ award. Each year, special awards are presented by PATA to recognise outstanding achievements by PATA Chapters. Chris Lee, PATA UK Chapter Chairman, presented the chapter’s achievements at the PATA Chapters Colloquium on Saturday 27th April 2013 at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.
Chris said: “I am thrilled that the outstanding achievements of the PATA UK Chapter have been recognised by PATA HQ and I would like to thank every member of PATA UK and our Executive Committee and Board members for their continued support in helping the Chapter to grow and develop and to set the Chapter up for future success in 2013 and beyond.”
The Spirit of PATA award was given to the UK Chapter for best illustrating the aims and objectives of PATA consistently and progressively over a number of years. The PATA UK Chapter also increased membership benefits in 2012, including new membership packages, a new PATA UK e-newsletter to all members, increased events in London and the regions, and regular columns and messages in the travel trade press.
PATA UK has launched its events calendar for 2013 including PATA Summer Parties in London on 17th July and in Glasgow on 21st August, plus the popular Taste of PATA event at London Borough Market on 10th September, and a PATA Luxury Exchange & Taste of PATA event in Manchester on 11th September, as well as Christmas Parties in Bristol on 11th December and in London on 19th December.
