Patrick Andersen to Lead Carlson Wagonlit Travel UK & Ireland

Carlson Wagonlit Travel has announced that Patrick Andersen has been promoted to Executive Vice President UK & Ireland, Nordics and Eastern Europe, effective 1st February 2012. He replaces Andrew Waller, who was recently promoted to President Europe Middle East & Africa, and Global Partners Network, CWT.

Patrick will lead CWT UK & Ireland while continuing responsibility for CWT’s Nordic and Eastern Europe regions. He will be based in the UK, and report to Andrew Waller.

Patrick joined CWT in 2008 as Country Manager Denmark, and became Executive Vice President for the Nordic region in 2009. In this role, he successfully integrated Ark Travel into CWT Sweden and led the acquisition and integration of Kaleva Travel in Finland. Most recently, the Eastern European zone was added to his responsibilities.

“Patrick is a natural choice to continue to support the strong UK & Ireland team,” said Andrew. “He is a proven and respected leader who will build on CWT UK & Ireland’s success for our customers and our business.”

Prior to CWT, Patrick worked for 23 years at DHL. He held various international positions in sales and marketing, operations and general management, including a three-year tenure in the UK.
