Royal Caribbean Online Competition Invites Agents to Be the ‘Face’ of New Campaign

Royal Caribbean International has launched an exclusive online contest for agents to become the face of its new campaign. The contest, designed to help drive trade sales and enthusiasm around the peak booking season, requires agents to send in short videos of themselves, explaining why they love Royal Caribbean and encourages them to post their videos to the cruise line’s dedicated Facebook page for agents at www.facebook.com/rcltravelagents

The competition is open to all agents who have reached ‘Captain’ status on the cruise line’s online e-learning programme Cruising for Excellence – and the winner will get to star in their very own trade advertisement: speaking to colleagues about the new campaign; providing them with top tips on selling; and outlining how to make cruise sales as plain sailing as possible.

In addition to a shot at ‘trade super stardom’, the winning agent will also be treated to a mini-break either before or after the filming of the advert, as follows:

  • Two night’s accommodation in a 5-star hotel in either central London or Glasgow for the agent and a partner or friend
  • Shopping vouchers redeemable at many top high street stores

Video entries can be uploaded to Facebook between now and 16th November 2012 and agents will be able to vote on their favourite submissions between 17th November and 20th November 2012. A panel of judges at Royal Caribbean will choose the most passionate agent from among the top 10 videos that receive the most votes and the winner will be announced on 21st November. Filming will take place between 21st November and 30th November 2012, so agents must be available during these dates.

We are expecting to be inundated with a host of weird and wonderful submissions and are confident that agents will get behind this competition with their usual enthusiasm.
