Shannon Airport today announced its summer season schedule with 34 direct destinations on scheduled and chartered services and almost 1.2 million seats available from April to October. There are flights to England, Scotland, the USA, Canada, Spain, France, Portugal, Turkey, Croatia, Switzerland, Poland and Austria.

Acting Director Niall MacCarthy said: “This reaffirms the important role that Shannon Airport plays in the lives of people across this region. In the 34 destinations are a number of new services for this year, including Bodrum in Turkey and Rennes in France.

“We also have Aer Lingus (Boston and New York JFK) and Delta Air Lines (New York JFK) returning with their transatlantic services in the summer, adding to the successful year-round service by Continental into Newark. Indeed, we are only the second airport in the country operating services into the USA. We are also pleased to offer long-haul and holiday offers directly from our Shannon Airport website in conjunction with Irish travel company Gohop.ie.”
