Silversea Introduces New Silver Privilege Fares and Fare Guarantee Programme

Silversea Cruises has rolled out new Silver Privilege fares on all voyages, effective from 1st November – and has also unveiled its 2014 Voyage Collection.

Silversea Privilege Fares

Silver Privilege fares are structured to make cruise buying decisions easier by offering guests one simple low fare for their desired suite. These new cruise-only fares will reward guests who book early with the best possible fare and the privilege of being able to select their desired suite when the best inventory is available. These new fares are easy to understand, so consumers know exactly what they are paying for. In addition, guests will still be able to customise their entire holiday with Silversea’s optional air, transfer, hotel and land programmes. With Silver Privilege fares, guests pay only for the holiday components they desire.

The cruise line has also introduced a new Fare Guarantee Programme for all voyages departing on or after 1st June 2013, effective for new Silver Privilege bookings made on or after 1st November 2012.

The guarantee provides that if Silversea reduces the Silver Privilege fares on the voyage after a booking has been made, the guest may request an adjustment from Silversea equal to the amount of the fare reduction in the relevant suite category. The adjustment will be in the form of a shipboard credit, suite upgrade, future cruise credit, fare reduction or other method.

Ellen Bettridge, Silversea’s President of the Americas, said: “By offering one simple price with our new Silver Privilege fares, we are making it easier for consumers to cut through the clutter that is in the marketplace and to understand the actual price of the components of their vacation. Additionally, when these new fares are enhanced by our Fare Guarantee Programme, our guests can plan their vacations far in advance, taking advantage of the best suite availability, and also enjoy the peace of mind in knowing they will be protected should those fares be reduced.”

Silversea has also unveiled an extensive line-up of worldwide voyages for 2014. Over 200 diverse sailings, visiting more than 500 destinations on seven continents, are now open for reservations. Highlights include Silver Whisper’s 113-day World Cruise, three voyages that feature extended stays in Myanmar, and Silver Explorer’s first-ever expedition cruises through the Northwest Passage, the Russian Far East, Japan, South Pacific and French Polynesia.

Silversea is offering 95 new ports of call, which include 83 just for Silver Explorer. Collectively, the cruise line’s other ships will offer 12 new destinations: Melilla and Almeria, Spain; Haugesund, Norway; Eskifjordur and Djupivogur, Iceland; Koror, Palau; Ponce, Puerto Rico; Sept-Îles and Trois-Rivières (Québec), Canada; Alotau, Papua New Guinea; Kavala, Greece; and Trujillo (Banana Coast), Honduras.

Ellen Bettridge, Silversea’s President of the Americas, said: “2014 marks Silversea’s 20th anniversary, so we designed a voyage collection that would match the special sense of excitement and celebration that we will be sharing with our guests throughout the year. Our expansive programme offers fresh and intriguing journeys to all corners of the globe, including numerous overnight stays that provide plenty of time for guests to leisurely explore remarkable destinations.”
