Silversea Releases 2016 Brochures with New QR Barcodes

Silversea has just released two new brochures detailing the luxury cruise line’s comprehensive collection of ocean and expedition cruises sailing in 2016. Its all-suite, eight-ship fleet will visit over 800 destinations on seven continents. Both print and digital versions of the brochures can be requested by visiting Silversea.com/brochures.

Silversea 2016 Brochures

“Whether your clients are looking for an exciting adventure in far-off lands, or just a chance to relax and recharge, our new brochures detail a remarkable range of inspired itineraries and enriching programmes that will help you create the perfect luxury holiday experience,” said Lisa McAuley, Commercial Director, UK and Ireland.

A new 192-page brochure details Silversea Cruise’s ocean-going journeys, while a separate 157-page booklet for Silversea Expeditions showcases the line’s expedition cruises. Both brochures feature new quick response (QR) barcodes that smartphone and tablet users may scan to unlock additional information.

The following are a few highlights:

OCEAN CRUISES

Venetian World Odyssey 2016

In January, the 382-guest Silver Whisper sails from Fort Lauderdale to Venice and will cross the Panama Canal to South America and the Pacific, visiting 51 destinations in 31 countries in 115 days.

Grand Voyage 2016

Silver Spirit’s ‘Circle South America’ Grand Voyage sets sail in January for 66 days on a round-trip cruise from Fort Lauderdale, crossing the Panama Canal and spending three days in Rio de Janeiro during Carnival.

Monte Carlo Grand Prix

Silver Spirit will overnight in Monte Carlo on 28th May, offering guests the opportunity to experience the thrill of a Formula One race on an optional ‘Monte Carlo Grand Prix’ tour.

Norway’s North Cape

Silver Whisper returns to the North Cape in June with a 14-day roundtrip sailing from Copenhagen. The voyage spotlights some of Norway’s most breathtaking scenery and includes a stop in the Arctic village of Honningsvag, gateway to the North Cape.

Thames River & Corinth Canal

Unique small ship privileges are highlighted when Silver Wind sails the Thames River to dock near (or depart from) Tower Bridge in the heart of London on six cruises, and when two Silver Cloudvoyages transit the Mediterranean’s narrow Corinth Canal – journeys most cruise ships are too large to navigate.

Myanmar

In addition to Venetian World Odyssey 2016, two Silver Shadow voyages feature multi-day stopovers in Myanmar, where guests can explore its famous golden pagodas and ancient temples in depth.

South Africa Cruises from Cape Town

In February, Silver Cloud will showcase South Africa’s spectacular beauty, amazing wildlife, and rich cultural heritage on a trio of 10-day voyages featuring convenient roundtrip departures from Cape Town.

Preview: World Cruise 2017

Silver Whisper will begin her world cruise in San Francisco in January 2017. Over the course of 116 days, her guests will visit 62 destinations in 25 countries before concluding their voyage in Monte Carlo in May.

EXPEDITION CRUISES

Shackleton Centenary Voyages

During January, February, and December, Silver Explorer will mark the 100-year anniversary of explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Endurance expedition with three special 18-day Antarctica voyages offering guests the chance to follow in the footsteps of the great explorer to discover the lands and waterways of the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, Elephant Island, and the Antarctic Peninsula.

White Sea

Sailing roundtrip from Tromso in June, Silver Explorer will feature an inaugural 12-day expedition cruise to the isolated White Sea and Kanin Peninsula in Russia’s extreme north.

Arnhem Land

Silver Discoverer will journey 14 days across the top of Australia in October to make an inaugural visit to Arnhem Land. Known as the birthplace of the famous didgeridoo musical instrument, this enchanted region’s indigenous people continue to practice traditional customs.

Myanmar

In a first for Silversea Expeditions, Silver Discoverer will visit Myanmar on three voyages during November and December, offering the chance to explore the pristine Mergui Archipelago and Yangon’s ancient temples.

Aldabra

In December, Silver Discoverer departs Male on a new 17-day expedition to the Seychelles, Maldives, Mozambique, and Tanzania. Highlighting this voyage is an inaugural visit to Aldabra, a raised coral atoll that has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Galápagos Islands

The expert guides of Silver Galapagos will continue to share their passion for these pristine and biologically diverse islands on two alternating seven-day itineraries exploring the north central and western isles throughout 2016.
