Sinead and Yvonne Join Travel Counsellors Ireland

Travel Counsellors is delighted to introduce two new members to the growing Irish team: Sinead Daly from Co Meath and Yvonne Larkin from Tramore, Co Waterford. Both Travel Counsellors are currently completing their new starter training and induction programme at the company’s Cork Head Office.

Yvonne previously worked in Waterford for Terry Flynn Travel and was also an overseas representative for First Choice in Europe and Mexico. After taking a short break from travel, working for the Department of Education, Yvonne is delighted to be back within the travel industry. She said: “We have had an amazing few days and learned so much about how to run our own businesses and getting to grips with the company’s easy-to-use technology. I can’t wait to get started.”

Sinead previously worked as a shop manager with Falcon Holidays. After taking a break, Sinead came back into travel in 2012 but found it extremely difficult to get the work/life balance with having two young children. Her boss recommended Travel Counsellors as he knew this would be the right choice for her. Sinead said: “I already have lots of enquiries that I need to get working on as soon as I get home – I am raring to go!”

The new Travel Counsellors will spend a day at the company’s worldwide HQ in Bolton, England, in mid-February.

Cathy Burke, General Manager – Ireland, said: “Here at Travel Counsellors we have seen a surge in travel professionals looking to make the move to run their own businesses from home, fuelled by a desire to get a good work/life balance, work at something they love and to take charge of their own professional life.

“I am delighted to welcome Sinead and Yvonne to Travel Counsellors. I believe they will both be very successful and welcome additions to our Irish family.”
