The 5-star Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche is launching new room packages that highlight the hotel’s services and Abu Dhabi city’s offering. These include a cultural package that features a visit to cultural sites, such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and desert safaris, as well as golf stay-and-play packages. The hotel has already partnered with Yas Waterworld and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi on packages and with Marina Mall, one of Abu Dhabi’s most popular shopping destinations, with its guests receiving exclusive discounts in participating mall outlets and a foot massage after shopping.
“This year so far has been very good for the hotel,” said Nael El-Waary, General Manager, Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche. “We have seen a very promising increase in the hotel’s occupancy and in the average daily rate. Like the rest of the city, we are now tapping into different segments to have a healthy mix in business. Although the hotel is primarily catering to MICE and business guests, because of its location, we are now receiving guests from the leisure segment which has proved to be very beneficial for the spa and f&b outlets.
“European guests are starting to spill over from Dubai, especially corporate and family guests who are more into a relaxing and cultural escape, which Abu Dhabi offers. As a French hotel we want to increase our visibility to the European market.”
