The Spanish Tourism Office, in conjunction with Aer Lingus, organised a fam trip from 9th – 13th April for five agents to visit Málaga, Ronda and Antequera on the Costa del Sol.
Kathryn MacDonnell, Trade Marketing Manager at the Spanish TO, hosted Irene McCaffrey, Travel Department; Ciara Sweeney, Corrib Travel; Katherine Crooks, Sunway; Gerard Bergin, Budget School Groups & Tours; and Linda O’Donovan, Travelnet – J. Barter Group.
In Málaga the group visited the Cathedral, Alcazaba, Roman Theatre, and Picasso Museum, Picasso’s birthplace, and the Carmen Thyssen Museum.
In Ronda a guided tour of the city’s most important museums and monuments was followed by lunch at the Bodega Joaquín Ferández, complete with country style rice showcooking.
Antequera brought another guided tour with visits to dolmen sites, the Natural Park at El Torcal, and the Museum of the City of Antequera.
