Strand Travel and Oasis Travel Win Top Travel Agency Awards

Strand Travel Worldchoice, Waterford, has won the TTG Top Travel Agency 2016 Award – Republic of Ireland, sponsored by Royal Caribbean International, while Oasis Travel, Holywood, has won the Northern Ireland Award, sponsored by SuperBreak.

Other agencies cited include Lee Travel, Cork, and O’Hanrahan Travel, Monaghan, in the Republic and Oasis Travel, Lisburn, and Thomas Cook, Newtonabbey in Northern Ireland. The overall winner was Garstang Travel, Preston, in the UK’s North West region. The list was decided through a combination of rating by tour operators and other suppliers and interviews and high street store assessments by TTG journalists.

Pippa Jacks, TTG Editor, said: “What our new Top 50 list shows is that travel retailing in 2016 is a vibrant and successful business sector, and that – particularly on the high street – agents continue to prove their worth by delivering phenomenal customer service to their customers.”
