Dublin’s spire in O’Connell Street was the departure point for two young Taiwanese men who have set off on a European Odyssey to visit 44 cities in 24 countries. The duo are in Ireland as part of the Ireland-Taiwan Working Holiday Programme.

They were seen off by a large gathering of the Taiwan community in Dublin headed by Harry Cheng, the representative of the Taiwan Government in Ireland. Music was provided by Irish band Tradrocks. Also present were some Irish motorcyclists and a Garda motorcycle unit.

The countries they will visit are Ireland, England, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Morocco, France, Spain and Portugal.
